STORY BRIEF

Raging bull is a movie which follows the career of Jake La Motta who was an Italian- American boxer. The story tells us about his rise and and fall in of his career which is caused by his anger and feeling of jealously

PERSONAL VIEWS

Personally I liked the film a lot,the film is full of adrenalin and fully satisfies it's title. The film revolves around the life of Jake and his boxing career, his zeal to be the number one. I liked how film starts with a narration of Jake as its older self sharing about his days of boxing and then the film takes us to the match where the crowd gives the actual verdict of Jake's fight which tells the popularity and craze of him. There a lot of conversatory scenes in the movie which keep you seated throughout the film.

Scenes with Vicky La Motta were also engaging as there we see the other side of the protagonist but eventually that also leads to a downfall as jealousy and anger overtakes La Motta's mind. There are single take scenes were the intimate life of the lovers is seen cleary.

The thing I liked about the film was that the whole film was black and white but when there is time which involves the moments of Jake's marriage , his brother's marriage , the start of a family, where there is no such feelings of agony are showed in color. The director uses this a metaphor to showcase that part of the protagonist's life where he puts scenes where all the happy moments are seen.

The film tells us the importance of our behavior and patience in our professional lives. Overall I feel the film is a must watch.
